Hindu Dharm Kosh (1978) :: highly rare First Edition

For those interested in religious studies and for collectors of rare dictionaries, we are pleased to offer an extremely rare First Edition of the landmark Hindu Dharm Kosh. This book is a comprehensive encyclopedia of the Hindu faith in the most holistic sense, encompassing every branch of Hinduism with comparative references from the earliest available sources. It also includes in-depth background information on the Vedic scriptures, mythology, pilgrimage centres, rituals & observances as well as biographical notes on various philosophers & saints over the ages. One of the most enlightening aspects of this book is the etymology of various proper names and words reflecting their true origin and background.

This encyclopedic dictionary was the labour of love of the great Vedic theologian & researcher Dr. Rajbali Pandey who passed away before the publication of this book. It was first published posthumously in 1978 thanks to the efforts of the great writer Dr. Hazariprasad Dwivedi.

Several images of this absorbing rare First Edition (including the complete foreword & a page of the introduction) are attached herewith for the perusal of those interested.
