Lavangi (1946/50) :: rare monochrome & colour-tinted lobby cards

For connoisseurs & collectors of rare film & photography memorabilia, we are pleased to offer an extremely rare set of twenty gelatin silver lobby cards of the film Lavangi.

First released in 1946 in Tamil and dubbed in Hindi in 1950, this film featured Kumari Rukmani in the title role of Lavangi alongside one of the legendary pioneers of South Indian cinema Y. V. Rao in the role of Jagannatha Panditaraja, the celebrated Sanskrit poet who served under the patronage of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.

These 20 original gelatin silver lobby cards, featuring ten images each in their monochrome and colour-tinted versions, are extremely rare and hard to find, especially in such excellent condition as the ones we are offering.
