This volume traces the roots of this fascinating craft with individual chapters on its various forms & motifs across India. The third book — Warp & Woof — focuses on the treasures of rare, historical textiles in the Calico Museum in Ahmedabadone of the most celebrated museums in the world for its comprehensive collection of textiles & artifacts. This vintage publication was published on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Calico Mills. The fourth book delves into the rich tradition of Indian Silks. This volume examines some of the finest regional traditions of silk weaves from the earliest Assam altar cloths and Gujarati textiles to exquisite Mughal silk embroideries, heavy Benares brocades, rich Kanchipuram saris, pictorial Bengali Balucharis, and intricate Maharashtrian Paithanis.

Duleep — the man and his game (1963) :: rare & out-of-print commemoration volume

For bibliophiles and those interested in the game of cricket, we are pleased to offer a highly rare and unique commemoration volume which was published in honour of the great cricketer and diplomat K. S. Duleepsinhji in 1963.

This book is divided into different sections. It starts with a biographical narrative which recounts the life story of Duleepsinhji. It is followed by the memoirs of some of the most eminent cricketers and writers who played with him or saw him play. Through their reminiscences, they have created a living portrait of this remarkable player. The next section contains anecdotes and impressions compiled from the writings of those who had come in personal contact with Duleepsinhji. This is followed by a section of  tributes paid to him after his death by prominent persons in India and abroad. Another important section contains some of Duleepsinhji's most distinctive writings on cricket and sports. The last section presents classified statistical data giving a complete record of all his first-class innings.
