The Universal Practical Combined English-Gujarati–English Dictionary (1940) :: highly rare First Edition

For those interested in the Gujarati language, we are pleased to offer an extremely rare First Edition of a vintage English-Gujarati-English dictionary.

First published in 1940, this comprehensive dictionary prepared by Shantilal Sarabhai Oza had several unique chapters including a glossary of commercial terms, English & Gujarati idioms and their equivalents, foreign words and phrases, interest tables in Gujarati etc. A chapter on cricket is suggestive of the soaring popularity of the game at the time.

Several images of this highly rare First Edition are attached herewith for the perusal of those interested.
