Born in 1904 in Kerala, Kuruvila Jacob was one of the most dedicated educationists in India. During his long and illustrious career, he served as the first Indian headmaster of the Madras Christian College School in Chennai. He also served as the Principal of the Hyderabad Public School at the invitation of the Andhra Pradesh government and as the first Indian Principal of the Cathedral & John Connon School in Mumbai. He left an indelible mark in all these institutions as a protagonist of progressive reform for improving the standard of education. In 1970, Kuruvila Jacob was honoured with the Padma Shri award in recognition of his invaluable contribution to education in India.
We are now pleased to offer a highly rare and concise biography of Kuruvila Jacob. This charming booklet was published for private circulation only and is extremely hard to find, especially in such good condition as the one we are offering.

Book Condition: Pre-Owned. Excellent. Pages clean and unmarked. Original tight binding. The original staples have naturally rusted owing to age. A diagonal crease near the top edge of the cover and the first few pages; images attached. The covers are neatly wrapped in an acetate film for future protection.
Annotations: Handwritten corrections in the margins of four pages; images attached.
Remarks: This biographical booklet was not reprinted and is highly rare and hard to find, especially in such intact condition as the one we are offering.
