Newstrack video magazine :: 11 rare archival tapes

Starting from 1977 until her death in 2012, the extraordinary American archivist Marion Stokes built an incredible personal archive of hundreds of thousands of hours of television news footage over a long uninterrupted span of 35 years! During this period, she recorded television broadcasts round the clock on VHS tapes, the dominant format of the time.

Today (25 November), on the 91st birth anniversary of Marion Stokesit would be appropriate to remember and celebrate the VHS tape format!
