Life of Sri Ramanuja (1959) :: rare First Edition

Born in Sriperumbudur near modern-day Chennai, Sri Ramanuja (A.D. 1017 – 1137) was instrumental in rediscovering the Vedic spiritual self of India. In innumerable homes and temples of India, especially in the South, the influence of the contribution of Sri Ramanuja to the religious and philosophical tradition of India is still alive. He provided the love of God with an enduring philosophy, and philosophy with an abiding love of God. A traditionalist by conviction, he was none the less a benign revolutionary who ventured to make creative departures from the beaten track for the greater good of mankind.

For bibliophiles and for the spiritually inclined, we are pleased to offer a highly rare First Edition on the life of this great Indian philosopher-saint, theologian and social reformer. This book was originally authored in Bengali by the great Swami Ramakrishnananda who pioneered the Ramakrishna movement in South India at the behest of Swami Vivekananda. It was first published in English in the year 1959 in Chennai.

This rare First Edition is especially hard to find in such excellent condition as the one we are offering.
