Tibetan Art (1950 & 1963) :: rare & out-of-print

For bibliophiles and connoisseurs of Oriental art, we are pleased to offer a couple of the rarest landmark publications on the unique art, architecture and culture of Tibet. The first book is a highly rare and out-of-print volume which was published in the year 1950, making it one of the earliest treatises on Tibetan art in the English language to have been produced in India. The second book is another rare and out-of-print volume which was published in the year 1963, it contains an editorial essay by His Holiness the Dalai Lama himself and also features several rare images of artworks and sculptures from the Dalai Lama's personal collection. Both these rare volumes are richly illustrated with stunning visuals and contain deeply insightful essays by world-renowned art historians and Tibetologists such as Lama Anagarika Govinda, W. G. Raffé, George Roerich et al.

Vintage back issues of the late 1940s and the early 1950s & 1960s are the rarest of all the rare Marg publications. We are pleased to offer these hard-to-find precious volumes in excellent condition for connoisseurs.
