Originating from Maharashtri Prakrit, Marathi is one of the prominent languages of India with a rich literary and cultural history.
Dominant in the Vidarbha region is the Varhadi (वर्हाडी or Vaidarbhi) dialect of Marathi with its unique vocabulary and colloquialisms. We are now pleased to offer an extremely rare First Edition of a dictionary of Varhadi words and sayings. This dictionary was the labour of love of the distinguished author & poet Devidas Gangaram Sote of Wardha who was a legendary figure in the realm of Varhadi poetry with a special affinity for satirical poems.
First published in 1974, this elusive book was not reprinted and is rather unheard of. It is extremely rare and hard to find, especially in such excellent condition as the one we are offering now.
