North–West Frontier Province (1938) :: rare First Edition

In 1901, Lord Curzon authorized the division of Punjab by separating the north-western area beyond the Indus River to form the North-West Frontier Province, which acceded to Pakistan in 1947 and has been known as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since 2010.

We are now pleased to offer an extremely rare First Edition of the most comprehensive history of the region published before independence. First published in 1938, this rare book was dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in commemoration of his visit to the North-West Frontier Province earlier that year.

Many images of this precious rarity, including the exhaustive table of contents and the complete list of illustrations, are attached herewith for the perusal of those interested.
