Amir Khusrau :: rare First Edition

Born in 13th-century AD in present-day Uttar Pradesh (part of the Delhi Sultanate), Amir Khusrau was a many-splendored personality — poet, musician, historian, linguist, and above all, a messenger of secularism and national unity. He symbolised a link between the peoples of Afghanistan, Iran, Central Asia and India. His Persian ghazals continue to be performed in Iran and other countries. In India, Khusrau represented a confluence of the two predominant cultures. His verses have become a part of Indian heritage.

In memory of this eternal genius, we are pleased to offer a highly rare First Edition of a commemorative volume that was published on the occasion of the seventh centenary celebration of Amir Khusrau. First published in 1975, this rare book contains several insightful chapters on the various facets of Amir Khusrau's life and work by world-renowned historians and experts from India and Iran.
